Staining Concrete Floors

Unpainted, concrete can appear boring and monotonous the future. But with a bit of hard work, you can completely transform the floor and give a whole new look. In concrete terms is a great painting to fix a flat, garage or laundry room, with minimal cost.

Concrete is more difficult to paint the rock sheet, and requires few more steps. If you are planning to paint a concrete floor there are some tools and materials needed to complete the project. You will need a mask, eye protection, gloves, a brush, paint roller, a bucket of paint, concrete, concrete paint primer, etching acid, phosphate sodium triple superphosphate (TSP), hydraulic cement, brush, bucket and mop.

Thoroughly cleaning the paint surface is probably the most important step. You should remove any oil or grease from the surface. Extend grease stains can be absorbed through the use of cat litter to absorb it.

This first step in painting a concrete floor is to mix the TSP cleaning solution according to the manufacturer's instructions. Scrub the floor thoroughly with TSP solution, rinse well and allow complete dry.

Then use the hydraulic cement to repair cracks or holes in concrete.

Use gloves and eyes, mix the etching acid with water according to manufacturer's instructions. Be sure to mix the etching acid thoroughly before you start using it.

Pour a small amount of acid etching on the concrete floor and use the mop to spread the acid in a small area. Continue this process until you have completely etched the whole floor. Allow the acid completely dry and then use a shop vacuum to clean the concrete VAC recorded and remove all dust and debris of the plant.

Once you have recorded completely and clean the floor now is the time to apply the primer. Stir the primer using a stirrer to ensure mixing well. Pour some primer on the shell of the paint tray. Using the brush, cut around the perimeter of the room and around any other object fixed in the room as the poles or floor vents. After cutting in the room using the roller and paint tray, roll a coat of primer on the work floor in four foot sections. Be sure not to get into a corner. Allow the first completely dry before applying the paint,

After the primer is dry, using the same steps you used for the application of primer and paint application in the concrete floor in the same way. Weather Drying will vary depending on what type of paint you used word.

The last step is the application of a sealer on the floor. Sealants can have strong fumes, so be sure to keep the area well ventilated and wear a mask. A layer or two of a quality sealer to protect your floors painted for many years come.

Although painting a concrete floor can be hard work, the results are excellent. Just follow the guidelines in this article and I think you will be delighted with the results.
