The benefits of owning an outdoor fireplace are the elegance, beauty and the warmth it provides. An outdoor fireplace adds a nice feeling to any outdoor area. Ideal for gardens, pool areas, patio areas, etc. There is nothing better on a cold winter night gather around a fireplace outdoors.
You may have a fixed, permanent or one that is portable fireplace. A home away from laptops is usually light in weight and great works to provide heat for long periods of time. You can even use some of these units as a grill or barbecue.
An outdoor fireplace can come in different varieties. There are stoves, fireplaces and permanently built fireplaces. The least expensive of the group is a chimney which is usually made of clay, cast iron or aluminum. A fire pit gives you the feeling of a campfire and can be very cozy and nostalgic. Fixed (permanent) fireplaces are built of brick or concrete block and are the most expensive of the various styles.
It is important to build a shelter for all types of fireplace that is outside because it is sensitive to wind.
The parts of the chimneys are: chamber smoke, combustion, chimney and firebox. The materials are often of cast iron, copper, bronze, stainless steel, enamel coated and possibly a combination of two or more of the foregoing. To an old feels it would be for the iron and if you are interested in preventing the damage of time, one coated with enamel would be the best option.
Traditionally, outdoor fireplaces burn wood, pressed wood logs and charcoal. These days there are more and more the natural gas being purchased. If you are interested in a fire that burns clean natural gas and propane are the way forward. It comes down to preferences and personal needs.
