Suits from different manufacturers will have different features to improve performance and as outlets. Neoprene
It is a foam material that is coated with stretching and heat with a jersey fabric. Stretching is important for the fit and comfort, but the stretch fabric that has less durability. Seams

Usually used in summer suits and is not suitable for winter clothes.

Liquid sealed seams
A rubber compound can be used to seal the seam and make it waterproof. This is very effective, but the use of compound reduces the flexibility of rubber so it is not appropriate for areas where flexibility is important.

Neoprene Coating
There are two types of neoprene coating WRC currently in use (water-repellent coating) and the printing of Pu. A chemical substance that repels water is used in the WPC, usually in the upper half of the suit neoprene. Less water is absorbed by the tissue wet suit and therefore lighter and warmer. PU printing is used to make the material more resistant to damage from abrasion, increasing the durability of the neoprene material.

Batwing
It is used in most expensive suits, wings bat are thin pieces of neoprene stitched inside the closure to prevent entry of cold water, so the wetsuit warmer and more comfortable.

Wrist, neck and ankle seals

Seals at the neck, wrist and ankle should be sufficiently tight to prevent water entering the wetsuit, but not so tight they restrict movement and cause friction. A good fit with fewer seams and soft neoprene are some points to look for.
