"Icy" Dance Floor?
I wanted to have the appearance of my dance floor as the ICE to my Winter Wonderland theme. Our hotel is a place heritage and not allow artificial snow, liquid coatings, etc. We covered the dance floor on sheets of acrylic spray-painted snowflakes, but that would be out of our budget and impractical. I know there are a lot of creative and intelligent people in this category .... How do I get this? Can I use any lights and reflective surfaces? If so, how do I know how this is done, or what equipment is needed? How do? Thank you. PS Remember I can not wear anything that may damage the dance floor or the hotel property.
First of all we do not want to put any kind of "cover" or materials in the soil or lost the ability to "slip" or move without effort into it as you should be able to. Stick with lighting - talk to a power company to see if they know of any lgiht 'covers' that could put any projectors are already there to give the effect of snowflake. Ask them also if they know of any 'lighting specialist in your area as well as their DJ. These types people seem to know each other and can recommend to someone you trust. Good Luck
