Can you resurface my garage floor? or is this something that should be left to the professionals? how much $ $ $?

We converted our garage in a bedroom and need to seal or resurface the garage floor. Over time have carpet or tile maybe. The previous owners used the garage as a kennel, and the concrete smells like dogs ... We have cleaned it many times and is much better, but we want it sealed. My husband and my father are very mechanically inclined and practical. Can do this by themselves or should we hire a professional? What would the cost anyway?

You might consider painting the garage floor with a base of epoxy paint. This is not normal latex or oil-based paint. It is based on the same chemical that is used for an epoxy glue. It dries very hard, and close fully concrete. So the odor problem will disappear and you will not have problems with infiltration of moisture in the soil. I painted my three car garage floor with this material and makes it much easier to keep clean. Sweeps and cleans like a tile or linoleum floor. I think you find that you can return to the mat very easily. You can also buy in different colors. I bought mine at a local store ..... Sherwin Williams Paint will not get it at Walmart. The only drawback is that painting has a "shelf life", ie once the paint will not open a limited time window in which you can apply. Strike say that the workshop should be thoroughly cleaned and dry before applying the epoxy coating.
