Coil Coatings
General information:
- The Duracoil THE Tamerica is a high quality and innovative electric spiral coil insertion is designed to help you spin coil binding spines of your documents.
- If you look at the different coil inserters that are available on the market, they are all similar and work the same. However, Duracoil-EL is the exception.
- This machine includes a number of interesting features and entirely new concept for the insertion of coils in their documents. In fact, even deals with several problems created by most of the coil insertion machines.
Strengths / Features:
- When designing the EL Duracoil, Tamerica decided to use a single roller instead of two rollers. As a general rule, a double roller design is generally more effective than a single roller. However, the EL Duracoil uses a different type of roller. This changes things. The roller in El DuraCoil is larger than the rollers of coil insertion in any other I've seen. In addition, the roller has a unique set of grooves carved into it. These grooves are designed to provide traction roller and stop it in good time. In tests of this design roller, I think it is as effective or more effective than most double roll coil inserters.
- When you look at the Duracoil-EL you will notice a yellow color / Orange stripe at the base of the roller. This is a special PTFE-coated introduce the tape. Teflon, which is known for its durability and properties of wood is not used in the strip to help ensure that the coils rotate freely when placed in this band. Most coil inserters require you to keep your paper in the air while coil is inserted. With this machine, use the Teflon coated plate to lead his book and his spine. This is especially useful when using this machine to insert larger spirals.
- If you've ever tried to spin a coil in your documents using a high speed coil insertion probably know how easy it is to spin the reel too far too fast. If you're not careful you can turn the right of your document. The Duracoil-EL has a stop on the left side of the machine to prevent this from happening. It's just the coil insertion I've seen with this feature.
- With most of the coil inserters, using large diameter coils, is a problem. In fact, many inserters do not really work well for coils more than 25 mm (1 inch). The Duracoil-EL is capable of using spiral up to 40 mm in diameter. This is awesome.
Weaknesses / Limitations:
- The stop plate on the left side of the machine is quite effective in keeping users from over-insertion of its rings. However, it is difficult to use this machine to insert into documents that are more than eleven inches. Most users insert their coils from right to left. If the document is more than eleven inch plate stop is on the road and you will have a difficult time keeping parallel to the roller.
- Binding of large documents with spiral coil can be very difficult. To insert the coil in the book is essential for shaping the backbone of your document so that the curves of approximately the same radius of the coil that is trying to insert. Most spiral coil inserters include a small section indentation on the table the document or part top of the machine that will help shape the backbone of his book. Unfortunately, this machine does not have a previous column. If they join a pile of documents spines of larger than 22 mm in diameter, probably a good idea to consider a separate column of the device yesterday, as the book of Rhino Tuff HD4170 EZ earlier.
Recommendation:
- The unique design of the Duracoil-EL makes electric coil insertion one of the favorite coil inserters that I have used.
- The grooved roll, the cover plate and Teflon coil stop all that easy to use and highly effective for binding documents that are both large and small.
- However, organizations need to force a large number of documents that are more than eleven inches can take a flexible approach to insertion of the coil.
- Companies that need to documents more bind large also want to consider a book for use independent ex with this machine.
