Inkjet printing

Inkjet Printers CMYK boost liquid ink droplets especially in the Support CD-R and DVD-R surfaces ability to absorb the ink. They are often integrated into automated robotic systems that load and store the discs separately, allowing unmanned operation after the initial installation. With an area of high quality printing, inkjet results may be surprising high-resolution printing and finishing with a layer of UV-hardened lacquer finish protects against stains and makes colors more vibrant. Injection ink are ideal for short runs of photo-quality printing, or when you desperately need a job quickly. In amounts greater than the unit price does not face a substantial drop, which can be cost effective compared to screen printing, or lithographic printing.

Transfer Printing Thermal

The heat transfer process is based on the fusion of a layer of colored tape on the surface of the CD-R or DVD-R. Each printer contains two bands, one with panels of cyan, magenta, yellow and black. Each color is printed individually on the second tape of the transfer belt. The media and transfer tape move together under the thermal print head, sealing the disk surface coated highly durable 100% resistant weathertight and free of blemishes. The end result is a product that is highly profitable in small quantities, with a surprise ending, even ahead lithograph printed CDs or DVDs. Because the printing is done directly from supplied artwork PDF, setup time is very fast and allows a very rapid change for the work urgent. With great results, this process has become one of the most popular options and customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

Serigraph (Silkscreen)

Screen Printing is a cost effective method for large quantities of CDs or DVDs printed as part of the process manufacturing, but can also be applied to the printing of CD-R, CD-R/DVD-R 8cm and 12cm DVD-R/DVD + R. His work is transferred to the films of each color is an independent film, with a maximum of five colors. These films are used as "templates" through a monofilament screen cloth, with color inks applied through them, on the surface of a CD or DVD. The resulting finish can produce vivid color, and is particularly effective in reproducing spot color (Pantone). This may, however, leaves a grainy effect around the text and color gradients. Screenprinting is more effective with a few simple designs colors. Note that most companies impose a minimum of 500 units, but with very little price difference compared to 1,000 units.

Lithographic (Offset) Printing

Modern offset printing is the most common high-volume commercial printing technique, with a wide variety of applications. The printer whether your work of art and design provided directly to the printing plate from the computer, creates a physical or paste up "of your design that will be exposed to the plates using a process camera, film negatives, and chemical treatment. The board is receiving oil-based ink around the print area, while the non-printing area is treated with water. The plate is "offset" to a rubber blanket cylinder that is applied to the surface of the CD or DVD. This process allows very detailed pictures and text small to be applied to the media in large quantities. Note note that the lithographic printing is linked to a full manufacturing process, which requires the creation of a glass master, and an extended production cycle, more than ten days. It is the ideal choice if you need more than 1,000 units on the basis of highly detailed drawings, producing a superior finish to the screen printing at a price relatively comparable.

We always advise our clients based on their artwork and requirements, but we hope that this greater understanding of the processes involved and their strengths and weaknesses can help you make an informed decision about your specific project, as always, we are here to help and answer any of your questions.
